Bonnie Jean DeRosa believes communication through the visual arts is a practice of shifting from one perspective to another. Her work brings personal history, culture, and the current landscape into film and media produced for clients. The medium matters less than the process: the finished film, drama, or art should inform, serve a purpose, create impact, and be memorable.
A recognized producer-director of educational and promotional films for the Department of Veterans Affairs, DeRosa’s work has been shown at VA sites nationwide, including annual Stand Down events and community care centers. Promotional films and media campaigns produced for nonprofit organizations have helped them win grants and community support.
Ms. DeRosa has appeared as a cover story for SAMHSA Reintegration Today magazine, has been a guest speaker at the State House in Boston, and has spoken and moderated for nonprofit organizations and discussion groups in the Greater Boston area.
